AMP Steering Committee

AMP Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is comprised of representatives from the following groups: Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries (Formerly Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport); Ontario Archaeological Society (Huronia Chapter) ; Academic Archaeologists; Simcoe Area Conservation Authorities; BILD – Simcoe Chapter; Simcoe County Historical Association; City of Barrie; Simcoe area municipalities; County Museum; County Archives; County Forestry and Transportation & Engineering Departments.

The role of the Steering Committee is to:

  • Support the AMP in any way they can
  • Provide key contacts for the project who we can draw information from
  • Provide review and feedback of documents and models produced during the study

Steering Committee meetings were held on January 29, 2018, June 27, 2018, and December 12, 2018.
