Each year in May, the County of Simcoe, along with the Paramedic Chiefs of Canada, recognizes Paramedic Services Week across Canada. National Paramedic Services Week celebrates the caring professional paramedics in Canada. Local recognition of this week showcases the integral role County of Simcoe Paramedic Services play in keeping our community safe, healthy and strong through community-based programs, training and educational initiatives.

In commemoration, Warden Basil Clarke has proclaimed May 19 to 25, 2024 as National Paramedic Services Week and this year’s theme, “Help Us Help You” shines a light on paramedics’ tireless efforts assisting and supporting those in need, often in challenging and high-pressure situations.
