Current Collections Impacts
There are currently no waste collection impacts.
What do I do if my carts haven’t been collected? Carts are required to be accessible and at the curb by 7 a.m. on your regular collection schedule. If you believe your organics or garbage carts were missed, please contact Service Simcoe at service@simcoe.ca or 1-800-263-3199. For all recycling misses and inquiries, click here.

Winter Collection Reminders
- When shoveling, clear a flat spot at the end of your driveway or at the curb for your carts
- Place carts within eight feet of the traveled portion of the road, which ensures the automated arm can reach while allowing room for snow clearing equipment to pass
- Approaching collection vehicles, not stopping for recycling, may not see your organics cart if it is hidden behind. To ensure collection of organics, place with arrows facing the road, to the left of your larger, recycling cart so it is visible.
- Don’t place carts behind or on top of snowbanks
- To prevent material from freezing or sticking, line your organics carts with newspaper or paper egg cartons
