The County of Simcoe leads the local system of homelessness supports and services across the region through partnerships and funded service agreements with community-based organizations.
Simcoe County Warming Centres
The County recognizes and values the important contributions of local, community-based initiatives such as warming centres, which augment the system of supports and services. Warming centres will be available at the following locations in Simcoe County.

Warming rooms at the Simcoe Hotel may be available for participants 24 hours per day, up to (7) seven days per week. Drop-in services are not available at this location. Registration is required with the Elizabeth Fry Society.
The County of Simcoe Social Services offices (136 Bayfield St.) are open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm (excluding statutory holidays) for anyone needing relief from the cold or inclement weather.

Alternate Spaces Activation Strategy
Enhanced access to indoor, warm spaces in shelters across the region when all shelter beds are full.
