Experience a Victorian Christmas at the Simcoe County Museum

Midhurst/November 28, 2022 – Experience what Christmas looked, sounded and tasted like during the Victorian era at the Simcoe County Museum December 8th to 9th from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Get into the Christmas spirit at our authentic Victorian Christmas event, with fun for all the family. Outside, stroll along our lantern-lit pathways and explore our decorated heritage buildings as you warm up with a hot drink. Visitors can be transported through the snowbound forest on a horse-drawn wagon. Inside, you can enjoy a show on our antique Magic Lantern or join in with carolers in our 150-year-old church.

Why not check out one-of-a-kind gifts from local artisans and get your shopping done early this year, or make your own traditional crafts and treats to take home ready for the holidays? Everywhere, you’ll hear the sounds of traditional Christmas music as you sample a Victorian Christmas, complete with some sweets for you to try. You might even see Father Christmas.
