Summer Leaf and Yard Waste Collection Starts July 3

Midhurst/June 28, 2023 The County of Simcoe reminds residents of the following schedule changes during this Canada Day long weekend.

Waste Drop-off Facilities and Curbside Waste Collection

  • There will be no changes to your regular curbside waste collection schedule on the holiday. Ensure you have your materials curbside by 7 a.m. on your regular collection day
  • All Waste Drop-off Facilities are closed on Saturday, July 1, 2023​
  • Regular hours for Waste Drop-off Facilities will resume on Monday, July 3, 2023
  • Summer Leaf and Yard Waste Collections commence for Zone 1 on Monday, July 3, 2023 and continue bi-weekly throughout July, alternating between Zones 1 and 2. Materials for collection should be placed curbside by 7 a.m. on Monday of the collection week for each area
  • Download the Simcoe County Collects App to confirm all schedules

LINX Transit

  • LINX Transit services are not in operation on Saturday, July 1, 2023, except Route 4, which will operate on a Sunday service schedule
  • The regular schedules will resume on Sunday, July 2, 2023
  • Please visit https://nextlinx.simcoe.ca/ to check our schedules

County Administration Centre (Midhurst)

  • The Administration Centre will be closed to the public on Monday, July 3, 2023

 Ontario Works and Children Services Offices

  • All Ontario Works and Children Services Offices are closed on Monday, July 3, 2023

Simcoe County Museum

  • The Museum is operating on its regular schedule
  • The Museum will be open 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, Sunday, July 2, and Monday, July 3

Simcoe County Archives

  • The Archives are closed on Monday, July 3, 2023
