Midhurst/August 16, 2023 –The County of Simcoe has opened nominations for the 11th Annual Newcomer Recognition Awards. Nominations recognizing deserving community champions will be accepted until September 22, 2023.
Over the past 10 years, the Simcoe County Local Immigration Partnership (LIP) has hosted this event to celebrate the outstanding contributions of community leaders and champions who take decisive action to enhance the lives of newcomers in Simcoe County. Individuals and/or organizations/businesses can be nominated for the following categories:

- Youth Community Champion
- Immigrant Artist
- Immigrant Entrepreneur

- Culturally Diverse Workforce (organization/business)
