Midhurst/September 23, 2026 – The County of Simcoe’s bi-weekly curbside Leaf and Yard Waste Collection program returns on Monday, October 5. Residents should place materials at the curb by 7 a.m. on the Monday of their garbage collection week. Each household will receive five bi-weekly collections, with the program running through December 11.
Collection may occur on any day during the week, so residents are asked to leave leaf and yard waste at the curb until it is collected. Please note that this program does not apply to the cities of Barrie and Orillia.
Accepted materials include leaves, grass clippings, garden waste, and bundled brush (size limits apply). Residents are reminded to use kraft paper yard waste bags, cardboard boxes, or open-ended rigid containers. Brush must be tied with natural twine and be no more than 2 m in length and 30 cm in diameter.
