Midhurst/May 10, 2024 – The Skilled Trades and Apprenticeship Expo, hosted in partnership with the County of Simcoe, Simcoe County District School Board, Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board, City of Barrie, City of Orillia, Town of Innisfil, Township of Springwater, and Simcoe Muskoka Skillforce, returns to the Elmvale Community Arena on May 15.
This event features interactive exhibits and hands-on activities, showcasing the variety of career opportunities available in the skilled trades in Simcoe County. Residents of all ages will have the opportunity to experience more than 25 different trades.
The 2024 event will feature two sessions: a students-only session from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for public and catholic school board students who were invited to attend, and a networking component geared for the general public, students of all ages and job seekers from 4 to 7 p.m. Admission is free of charge.
