Partners announce details to enhance Community Breakfast Program in the City of Barrie

Midhurst/December 12, 2023 – The County of Simcoe, City of Barrie and community partners have finalized plans to enhance the Barrie Community Breakfast Program in downtown Barrie as a temporary one-year program.

An enhanced Community Breakfast Program will be offered 7 days-a-week, between the hours of 8 and 9 a.m.

Program locations include:

  • Trinity Anglican Church (24 Collier St, Barrie) – offering the program indoors between October and May
  • Collier Street United Church (112 Collier Street, Barrie) – offering the program outdoors between June and September

This program is made possible through one-time funding partnership between the County of Simcoe and City of Barrie. This funding will augment generous community donations, which are needed to ensure the program continues.

The Community Breakfast Program is coordinated by a coalition of community partners, including Ryan’s Hope, and the churches of Burton Avenue United Church, Collier Street United Church, Grace United Church, St. Margaret’s Anglican Church, First Christian Reformed Church, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and Trinity Anglican Church.
