Valentines Day proves to be sweet (or sour) at the Simcoe County Museum


Midhurst/February 2, 2022 – The Simcoe County Museum is asking adult residents (19+) whether they prefer sweet or sour this Valentines Day.

​Whether you have a penchant for PDA or not, this bittersweet Valentines Day-themed event has something for everyone.


From the comfort of home, cuddle up with your loved one or savour some solitude while staff from Beattie’s Distillers show you how to make your very own sweet-and-sour cocktail.


Next, watch as Museum staff introduce you to some real-life love stories – from the romantic to the tragic – ripped from the pages of local history books. Take a guess at how each story will end. Will they prove to be sweet – or sour?

Participants must be legal drinking age to register

​Registration

Admission to this virtual event is $65 and comes with a take-home package containing everything participants will need to make their own c​​ocktails at home, as well as a variety of locally produced snacks. Registration is required and is available at museum.simcoe.ca. Space is limited so register early to avoid disappointment.
