Making tracks at the Simcoe County Museum

May through September 2022

Midhurst/May 30, 2022 – By popular demand, the Simcoe County Museum has opened a new temporary exhibit that is sure to make tracks across the County. Making Tracks – Mountain Biking in Simcoe County explores the evolution of the sport in the region, and how Simcoe County has been a training ground for World Cup champions and Olympics team members. This exciting temporary exhibit runs from May 12 to September 5, 2022.

The temporary exhibit is the result of an idea brought forward by residents of the community, and features mountain bikes from the past 30 years, a tandem bike, and even a mountain bike used in the Tokyo Olympics by Simcoe County’s Peter Disera. Interactive areas include a Winners’ Podium as well as a stationary bike used to compare museum visitors’ skills with pro athletes.
