Week of Welcome

Week of Welcome (WOW) activities focus on economic, social, cultural and political integration of Newcomers in Simcoe County by liaising with local municipal partners, settlement service provider organizations, ethno-cultural groups and vendors. In addition to job finding, social connections, and community resources, WOW events include an opportunity to participate and learn about Indigenous learning and history in Canada.

A Citizenship Ceremony caps off the week by celebrating our newest Canadians. WOW is administered through the Local Immigration Partnership with ethno-cultural outreach support provided by EMA.
