Week of Welcome (WOW) activities focus on economic, social, cultural and political integration of Newcomers in Simcoe County by liaising with the local municipal partners, settlement service provider organizations, ethno-cultural groups and vendors. In addition to job finding, social connections, and community resources, WOW events include an opportunity to participate and learn about Indigenous learning and history in Canada.
A Citizenship Ceremony caps off the week by celebrating our newest Canadians. WOW is administered through the Local Immigration Partnership with ethno-cultural outreach support provided by EMA.
