Busy times are on Saturdays and early in the week; avoid these times if possible. There is a minimum fee of $10 for disposal; avoid coming with small loads.
Material not properly sorted into the designated diversion areas cause your entire load to be charged at the mixed rate of $310/tonne. Separate materials in your load as divertible materials may be free or qualify for reduced fees. Insulation & Styrofoam packaging must be bagged to avoid windblown litter. Propane cylinders are acceptable and free of charge but please do not put them in your garbage or recycling. Please declare these materials to site staff upon arrival, for proper handling as they are managed differently for safety reasons.
Enter the scale on the green light and declare the type of waste. You will be directed to the appropriate bunker/diversion area(s).
Due to health & safety policies, staff cannot assist with the lifting or removal of waste from vehicles. Waste facilities are complex and very busy facilities with many moving parts. When visiting, please use extreme caution and care when on site. The County of Simcoe takes great precaution to make all facilities safe, but cannot be responsible for damages to vehicles or personal injury.
Prior to leaving the site, you must return to the scale. The computerized weigh scale system calculates waste disposal charges. Payment is due prior to leaving the site.
