Students will learn about the environmental impacts associated with landfills and the roles we play as individuals to make sustainable choices everyday. Students will also gain a better understanding of the impacts that landfills have on soil health, groundwater and the atmosphere, as well as the benefits of composting and using your green cart. The workshop is targeted to grade 3 classes containing links to the ‘Soils in the Environment’ curriculum as well as pre and post workshop activities.
Requirements for this workshop include participation in the Learning & Living Green program (whole-school participation of organics) and use of magnetic white board.
This is targeted to Grade 3 classes, however, it can be delivered to any class grade 3 or older. Click here to book a workshop.

A member of our Waste Education Team will deliver the presentation, bringing with them a wealth of industry knowledge.
