The COUNTY OF SIMCOE intends to control NOXIOUS WEEDS in accordance with the Public Health or Safety exception to the cosmetic pesticide ban in subsection 7.1 (2) of the Pesticides Act that affects Public Works along the following rural roadsides:
- County Roads No. 6, 19, 22, 27 and 93 within the boundaries of the Townships of Tiny, Tay, Oro-Medonte and Springwater.
Using the following pesticides registered Pest Control Products Act (Canada): Navius VM Herbicide (Reg#31382), containing the active ingredients Metsulfuron-methyl and Aminocyclopyrachlor in combination with the surfactant HASTEN NT Ultra Spray Adjuvant (Reg#31760), containing the active ingredients methyl and ethyl oleate (esterified vegetable oil).
The COUNTY OF SIMCOE will also be spraying weeds along guide rails on all the rural roads in accordance with the Public Health or Safety exception to the cosmetic pesticide ban in subsection 7.1 (2) of the Pesticides Act that affects Public Works.
Using the following pesticides registered Pest Control Products Act (Canada): Esplanade SC Herbicide (Reg#31333), containing the active ingredients Indaziflam and Roundup WeatherPRO Liquid Herbicide (Reg#33653), containing the active ingredient glyphosate (present as potassium salt).
