County road 54 (10 sideroad) innisfil tributary culvert replacement


The existing structure consists of a 4.3m span by 3.1m rise reinforced cast-in-place concrete open bottom culvert.  The original structure has been in service since circa 1950.  The culvert has reached the end of its useful life and County of Simcoe is undertaking a culvert replacement with a new precast culvert with a 6.0m span by 3.6m rise and make other improvements including road profile improvements, new steel beam guiderails and new pavement wearing surface to improve traffic safety and driving comfort over the bridge.​ 

Timelines (subject to change as project proceeds​)


Construction crews have been mobilizing on-site since July 2, 2025. Construction and road closures will begin on July 16, 2025 and continue until October 2025.

Impacts to drivers and neighbours


County Road 54 (10 Sideroad) and 5th Line will be closed to through traffic for the duration of the construction. 

Detour routes have been established as shown below using County Road 21 (Innisfil Beach Road) – County Road 4 (Yonge Street) – County Road 89.
