Relocation Assistance
Prospective employees who move to accept work from the County of Simcoe and who submit receipts for eligible expenses within six months of their date of hire may be eligible to receive relocation assistance of up to $2,000 if relocating more than 50 km, or up to $3,500 if relocating more than 100 km, based on the distance between their current residence and their new work location.

Registered Nurses:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care to residents, to provide direction to other nursing personnel and to assist in the organizing of the Nursing Department, in accordance with the policies of the Home and applicable legislation. As a values member of Long-Term Care and Seniors Services, the Registered Nurse demonstrates a commitment to Resident Safety by providing quality care in accordance with the organizations mission and vision.
Registered Practical Nurses:
The Registered Practical Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care to residents, in accordance with the policies of the Home and applicable legislation. As a valued member of Long-Term Care and Seniors Services, the Registered Practical Nurse demonstrates a commitment to resident safety by providing quality services in accordance with the organization’s mission and vision.
Nursing Incentives available at the County of Simcoe!
Community Commitment Program for Nurses – Receive $25,000 for two-year commitment
The Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN) was created by Ontario Health (Health Force Ontario) to attract Registered Nurses (RNs), Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs), and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to work in Ontario. This incentive provides $25,000 to eligible nurses in exchange for a two-year commitment.
To be eligible for the CCPN, a nurse must:
- Not have been employed as a nurse in Ontario in the six months prior to being hired;
- Hold a Certificate of Registration in good standing from the College of Nurses of Ontario;
- Commit to 24-months of employment at a full-time work schedule offered by the employer; and
- Not simultaneously receive funds from the Ministry of Health for the Tuition Support Program for Nurses.
