About Public Transit in Simcoe County:

Currently, only some of the County’s 16 member municipalities, along with the cities of Barrie and Orillia, operate local municipal transit services. Several other local municipalities do not have local transit systems. The County also operates LINX Transit, an inter-community service with six routes that connect local communities and major service and employment hubs, including hospitals, educational institutions, GO Transit, Ontario Northland, and employment centres. LINX currently serves seven of the 16 County municipalities, as well as Barrie and Orillia.
