Midhurst/June 23, 2026 – Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment (HART) Hubs across the province have officially been named, with the local hub named HART Hub Simcoe County. This aligns with HART Hubs across the province, ensuring that no matter the community it is in, area residents can easily recognize, access, and connect with supports if they or someone they know is experiencing homelessness while experiencing challenges with mental health and addiction.
This consistent branding across the province allows potential users to know exactly how to connect when they need help.
Further expansion of HART Hub Simcoe County services is planned, including the introduction of an additional supportive housing option for individuals transitioning from the Live-in Treatment Program. This includes potential development of a 13-bed supportive housing program with on-site housing support workers, designed to provide structured, transitional stays of approximately 3–6 months. This growth will ensure individuals have access to safe, stable housing with coordinated, wraparound supports throughout their recovery journey.

- visit the office during business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) for questions or to inquire about accessing services
- attend a drop-in session with the Navigation Team every Friday from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

About the HART Hub Simcoe County
HART Hub Simcoe County is made possible through regional network of care teams focused on providing homelessness and addiction recovery treatment support to individuals with urgent needs. It emphasizes multiple access points with flexible pathways, ensuring a person-centered, accessible, safe, and low-barrier approach to care for individuals at risk of or experiencing homelessness. The program also supports Indigenous members of the community through specific service connections to Indigenous team members and services.
Funding for the HART Hub was announced by the Provincial Government in January 2025, with a phased rollout that began in June 2025. The HART Hub Simcoe County is delivered through a regional network of teams with the shared goal of providing support to those who need it the most. This network includes: Barrie and Area Ontario Health Team, Barrie Native Friendship Centre, Canadian Mental Health Association – Simcoe County Branch (CMHA SCB), County of Simcoe, Mamaway Wiidokdaadwin IIPCT/ Barrie Area Native Advisory Circle (BANAC), Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), and Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care.
