Seeking Dietary Aides to join our team
As a Dietary Aide with the County of Simcoe’s Long-Term Care and Seniors Services teams, you will have the chance to help us create welcoming dining spaces and nourishing meals, making a difference in the everyday lives of our residents.
Your role:
- Serve meals and snacks in line with dietary plans, therapeutic guidelines, and resident preferences
- Communicate and collaborate with the Dietary Supervisor, Cooks, and Registered Dietitian to ensure smooth service
- Set tables, clean dining rooms, and manage kitchen organization while practicing safe food handling procedures
- Store, wash, and prepare food items and supplies in compliance with infection control standard
- Assist with basic food preparation and contribute to programs like “Live to Eat” for a pleasurable meal service
- Support new staff orientation and participate in committees, meetings, and workshops to further advance skills
