In recognition of National Indigenous History Month, the Simcoe County Museum is celebrating the grand opening of a new exhibit featuring Indigenous pieces from the Museum’s collection along with those created by modern Indigenous artists.
This exhibit will officially open to the public on Wednesday, June 26 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and run until September 29, 2024. Known as Honouring what is made through zaagidiwin (love): A showcase of past and present pieces, each of the handcrafted pieces tells a story through natural materials used and was inspired by each individual artist’s love for the land.
Regular admission is just $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and youth, and $4 for children. Preschoolers and Museum Members get in FREE!
