Midhurst/June 25, 2024 – The County of Simcoe reminds residents of the following schedule changes on Canada Day:
Curbside Waste Collection and Waste Drop-off Facilities
- Waste Collection is ongoing on Canada Day as there is no change to the County’s waste collection schedule
- All County Waste Drop-off Facilities are closed on Monday, July 1 except for the Matchedash facility, which is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Summer Yard Waste Collection will commence on Monday, July 1. It will be collected bi-weekly for the month on your designated garbage week. Please ensure that your waste is set out curbside by 7:00 a.m. on Monday of your collection week; collection will occur at any point during the week, it won’t necessarily coincide with your regular collection day.
LINX Transit
- LINX Transit services are not in operation on Monday July 1 (with the exception of Route 4)
- Route 4 only will be operating a Sunday schedule on Monday, July 1
- Return to regularly scheduled services for all routes on Tuesday, July 2

County Administration Centre (Midhurst) & Service Simcoe Contact Centre
- The Administration Centre, including the Service Simcoe Contact Centre, will be closed to the public on Monday, July 1
Ontario Works and Children Services
- All Ontario Works and Children Services offices are closed on Monday, July 1
Simcoe County Museum
- The Museum will be open for its regularly scheduled hours (10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)

Simcoe County Archives
- The Archives is closed on Monday, July 1
